Play Date #1 participant teams,

NorCal Premier Soccer and Santa Rosa United (Play Date #1 hosting Club) have made a decision to postpone Play Date #1 to next Sunday April 18th. due to the forecasted storm getting worse by the hour. More than two inches of rain is expected in Santa Rosa by Sunday morning, and under these conditions it might not be too much fun for our youngest players and families to enjoy a day of soccer. Plus, there is a high likelyhood the city would close the grass fields anyway.

Sorry for this inconvenience but we wanted to give you early notice so that you can take care of changing your plans, hotel reservations, etc... ahead of time.

We will try as much as possible to keep the schedules the same . If for whatever reason your team is unable to participate at the re-scheduled date, please let us know as soon as possible.

Check in Procedures:

Please have your team ready to check in at the Park Check in tent, situated in a central location, at least 45 minutes prior to your first game. You need to bring a printed US Club Soccer (or new Demosphere web site NorCal) roster. All players need to have valid USCS player cards in order to play.

Sportsmanship:

All Coaches, Parents and Players are expected to show the highest level of Sportsmanship throughout Play Date events. Player Development and Fun is the most important part of these events. NorCal will apply a 'zero tolerance' policy to teams creating the minimum amount of trouble, and will most likely will not be allowed back to a Play Date event this season.

Aim and Rules of Play have been posted on the web site and can be found under the Play Dates main menu.

Play Date #1 at SRU is sold out. We are able to accept a total of 96 teams for this event.

Priority will be given to U8 and U9 Boys and Girls teams playing in NorCal Regional Leagues. Teams will then be accepted on a ’first come first served’ basis until brackets are even. Teams not accepted will be notified of their placement in ’Wait List’ at least 8-10 days prior to the event.

All teams need to make sure payment is submitted by April 1, otherwise they will automatically be placed in Wait List.

Also, note that this year if a team withdraws from the Play Date event after Schedules have been posted without a valid reason, the team might not be able to participate in any subsequent Play Date event this season.

Timeline for Play Date #1:

- Registration and Payment Deadline: April 1
- Notification of Accepted and Wait Listed Teams: April 2
- Preliminary Schedules posted: April 6
- Final Schedules posted: April 9

Play Date #1 will be hosted by Santa Rosa United (SRU) and all games will be played at A Place to Play Park.
