Roster Mgt., PAD, Scheduling and other important info...
Last Update 2/26/2010
1- Official rosters in NorCal through US Club Soccer Data transfer
US Club Soccer valid Club Player Data will be automatically transferred to the NorCal web site. Teams registered to Play Spring can now start creating their rosters following instructions here
2- Online Match Reports including Team Sportsmanship and Disciplinary Tracking by PAD
Having official team rosters and player records in the NorCal web site will allow us to improve and streamline PAD Committee procedures including Team Sportsmanship and Player and Coach Disciplinary Tracking. With these new processes we will be able to minimize attempts to not follow the guidelines and rules established by the League as follows:
- Coach or Team Manager will not be able to roster a player in the Game Card which does not have a valid USCS Card within the Team’s Club. Teams will be restricted to select players to form the rosters within their own Club Player Pool.
- NorCal Premier Soccer will now be able to implement and enforce Disciplinary Procedures online once these have been reported to NorCal PAD Chair. A disciplinary sanction will be reflected in following Match Game Card.
- NorCal will be able to track unsportsmanship related issues from Coaches, Players and Parents online by Team and by Club, creating a database of reported incidents to monitor and take action regarding repeated offenders. Clubs and teams will be given and accumulate ’unsportsmanship points’ on reported incidents.
3- No ‘TBD date’ or ‘TBD opponent’ games posted in the schedule
At the request of most Member Club Directors, a fixed schedule of games will be provided for the entire Spring League season, so no more ‘TBD date’ or ‘TBD opponent’ games.
Demosphere has developed custom ’tie patterns’ to accomodate NorCal Premier Soccer scheduling requirements. A list of NorCal Premier Soccer official ’tie patterns’ for League Games are currently under revew by NorCal Competition Committee and Member Club Directors, and can be found here. Over the last few weeks and months NorCal has consulted with Coaches, Directors and Schedulers to try to come up with the best possible ’tie pattern’ scheme for our League.
4- Game schedules set by home teams by deadline
All season games will need to be scheduled (date, game time and location) by home team by the established Spring Timeline deadlines.
Demosphere has developed custom Scheduling features for NorCal Premier Soccer which will allow the Editing of Games by both Coaches and Team Managers from the Team Pages and also by a centralized Club Scheduler from the Club Page as long as the Club Scheduler has been added as a Club Officer with Admin Rights. Please see here for details.
5- Payment can be done through credit card
Teams can now process payments through credit card as part of NorCal League registration process. For infomation on how to complete payment click here
6- Team Pages available for individual teams
Team pages are now available for individual teams. Teams can customize the site colors, update club logo, team picture and uniform colors. Teams will be able to update contact information, rosters and submit applications for future NorCal events from the Team Page. To access your Team Page go to Clubs, select your Club, then your Team. Click on ‘Team Login’ and request a pin #. Familiarize yourself with your Team Page and contact admin@norcalpremier.com if you have any questions or problems.
Some teams have already started working on their Team Pages. Click below for a couple of examples:
7- Club Referee Coordinators, Registrars, Schedulers need to be listed as Club Officials
Please make sure that all Club staff including Referee Coordinators, Registrars, Schedulers, Field Coordinators, NorCal Reps, Treasurers, etc... are listed as Club Officials in your Club Web Page with Full Admin Rights. Not all contact data from the old web site has been converted, so please review the current Club Officers listed in your Club Page and update accordingly. Again, for questions regarding this contact admin@norcalpremier.com
8- New FAQ section for new Team Managers
A new web page has been created with a list of common questions that hopefully will help new Team Managers with basic questions regarding registration, access to Team Pages, rosters, payments, etc... This section can be accessed from the NorCal Home Page under ’Help’ in the left side menu. Or click here to access now.
