During this past summer, we requested US Club Soccer meet with our Board of Directors to review everything in NorCal Premier Soccer. We wanted their advice on how to structure or restructure the NorCal Premier Soccer organization to ensure it can properly administer and provide all programs - at the highest level - into the future.
This past November, we met with US Club President Bill Sage and Ken Chartier and received very valuable feedback. In addition to this meeting, we have also received valuable feedback from many DOC’s, Club Presidents and others involved in Norcal Premier Soccer. This feedback has assisted us tremendously and will result in the improvement of our organization.
We are in the process of restructuring the bylaws, the board of directors and the budgeting process for NorCal Premier Soccer. We have retained a non-profit law firm to assist us in this area.
Working with them we have implemented the following time line which outlines how this process will occur in regards to the plan for the reorganization of NorCal Premier Soccer and its By-laws.
Monday, February 22nd Distribution to member clubs of Executive Summary of Plan of Reorganization of NorCal Premier Soccer (“Plan”) and draft revised Bylaws (“Bylaws”)
Wednesday, February 24th Informational meeting for member clubs to discuss Plan and Bylaws (place and time to be determined)
March Solicitation and receipt of comments on Plan and Bylaws
Monday, April 5th - April 19th Adoption of Bylaws and begin implementation of Plan -
* Please note we have added additional time to the time frame for adoption and implementation of bylaws - we will be voting on bylaws by May 1st.
We will communicate a time and place for the Wednesday, February 24th meeting.
Our goal has always been to provide our member Soccer Clubs a top-level soccer organization, developed using world wide examples, which provides competitive soccer club’s players, ages 8 to 50, an opportunity to enjoy Soccer at their playing level. Your assistance in this endeavor is recognized and greatly appreciated.
Thank you very much – Benjamin Ziemer - On behalf of the NorCal Premeir Board of Directors
