This coming weekend Play Date #1 will take place in Manteca, and we
wanted to make sure everyone involved is aware of the following:
- All teams need to be registered with US Club Soccer.
- Team managers need to provide a USCS roster and player cards for check in with the hosting club no later than 30 minutes before their first game.
- In some play dates space is limited and in order to maximize the field space time available, the break between games is very short. Please leave the field as soon as possible after your game, and enter the field ready to play as soon as possible when it is your turn to play.
- Games will be played with 20 minute halves, 5 minute half time break and 5 minute break between games, for a total of 50 minute time slots per game. All games will start and finish at the same time following the ‘horn’ system. There will be no extra time added at the referee’s discretion.
- Please make sure that you check the schedule 24 hours before you leave to your Play Dates. Preliminary posted schedules could change without notice. If schedules are to be changed 24 hours prior to the event we will notify the teams affected individually.
- Brackets will be formed based on level of play, but also taking into account that teams cannot always keep playing each other all the time in all play dates.
- Play Date results will not be posted on-line for public viewing, but will be posted at the playing site and reported by the hosting clubs to Norcal. Norcal will be using these results for bracketing future Play Dates and also for the purpose of seeding future Norcal events. No standings will be kept.
- Support and thank the Play Date Hosting Clubs! Without them these events would not be possible.
- The Play Dates are all about working hard at developing these young kids’ soccer skills and enjoy the day out. Make the best of the day. Show sportsmanship. Respect the game.
