Norcal Premier Soccer: 2008 Fall League
We are excited to announce the 2008 Norcal Premier Fall League!
We will accept applications for ages U11 – U18 boys and girls.
The U9 - 10 boys and girls leagues are being organized at the Regional (District) Level.
Divisions of play: Divisions will be formed in each age group U11 to U18, girls and boys, provided we have enough teams to provide appropriate competition. In some cases, teams may be allowed to play up. If necessary we may combine divisions using divisional U18, U16, U14, and U12. These are age groupings used around the world!
Second Year League: We have had a tremendous amount of interest in the Fall League. However, because this is our second year and the league will be played during the traditional CYSA fall season, there may be age groups where we cannot form a league.
Scheduling Cooperation - Norcal State Cup: Of course, the Norcal Premier 2008 Fall League will be scheduled around the Norcal State Cup to avoid any scheduling conflicts. The second or third Sunday of each month will remain open to allow teams to compete in both the Norcal Fall League and the Norcal State Cup.
League Format: The final format will depend on the number of teams. If possible we will have the following:
Premier: The Premier Divisions will be organized on a State wide basis.
Gold, Silver and Bronze: The Gold, Silver and Bronze Divisions first round will be organized, if possible, on a more regional basis. Once teams compete locally they will advance into a state wide competition of 1 - 3 games. This will be based on a team’s regional standings.
To be clear, in the inaugural year of our Fall League interested teams will have to be flexible and more willing to travel to compete. When any significant travel is involved we will try and schedule doubleheaders.
If you enter with a “partner team” from your area your final schedule will often be more team travel friendly.
