Please read and follow these instructions:
The single games leading up to group play will be scheduled by NorCal. Once group play has been reached the games will be scheduled on Sundays, in any order, by the home team after consulting with the traveling team.
For the convenience of both teams, a single game may be played earlier than scheduled by NorCal, but never later without the written permission of the League Manager.
All group play games must be completed by Sunday, December 7th with the following week-end 12/13 and 12/14 available only for emergency delayed games.
Teams are expected to be available and reasonable in the scheduling of games. If the League Manager needs to be involved, he will almost certainly choose a “set aside day”.
Please do not let the scheduling process become a problem. Within a day or two, as it becomes obvious that there is a problem in setting a day, time and place for a game – contact

. The decision, including the changing of a home game to away where field availability is an issue - will be made within a day or so!
Once a game has been scheduled, that day and time can only be changed – for emergency reasons or rain - with the permission of the League Manager or Event Coordinator.
There is absolutely no advantage possible for winning a game by more than 5 goals. Please do not run up the score.
In group play, when an advantage (1 or 2 home games) must be given within a “group of 4” – it is given to the highest seed(s).
As home team, please make sure you meet the field and referee requirements. If either of these requirement poses a problem, please give up your home game to the away team.

• At the suggestion of a number of people, the formats dated “revised 7/10” make an important change in the groupings. For the first round games, the highest difference in teams, based on committee seeding, will be 31 - as in 1 vs. 32. For the second round, after a round of games, the highest difference will be 15 – as in 1 vs. 16. This change should significantly reduce the number of games that are uncomfortable for both teams.
• The set aside Sundays are on the various time-lines and are the days that most games should be played.
• The highest 2 seeds in a “group of 4” will have two home games and the 2 lowest one
• If both teams agree, games may be played in August, but this is never required.
• Please schedule early, by September 1st at the latest – required!, so that conflicts of schedules between teams are noticed quickly and in time to make the necessary adjustments.
• Teams are expected to be available and reasonable in the scheduling of games. If the League Manager needs to be involved, he will almost certainly choose a “set aside day”.
• Please do not let the scheduling process become a major problem. Within a day or two, as it becomes obvious that there is a problem in setting a day, time and place for a game – contact

• Once a game has been scheduled, that day and time can only be changed – for emergency reasons or rain - with the permission of the Event Coordinator.
• As much as possible, for the Regional Round of play, teams are kept within their Region. However, the first priority is always to maintain the integrity of the seeding process. In this round, NorCal does not want higher ranked teams (1 – 8, 9 – 16) playing each other and knocking each other into lower divisions – or the opposite – lower ranked teams advancing into higher groups because they played only weaker opponents. Teams from Regions that do not have many teams entered and where those teams are ranked lower will usually have more “Out of Region” games.
• There is absolutely no advantage possible for winning a game by more than 5 goals. Please do not run up the score
• In these initial 3 games, when an advantage (1 or 2 home games?) must be given within a “group of 4” – it is given to the highest seed(s).
• As home team, please make sure you meet the field and referee requirements. If either of these
requirement poses a problem, please give up your home game to the away team.
