Norcal now has all of the contact information on-line enabling us to reach all 150 Clubs and it is fitting that one of the first messages using this system refers to sportsmanship.
It has not yet been publicized, but the sportsmanship ratings for the Under 10 Norcal State Cup(s) – overall very high - gave the highest marks to the players; followed by the coaches; and the parents ranked the lowest. I imagine the cause of that was often one or two parents on a relatively few teams unable to control their emotions and making a spectacle of themselves.

NorCal has over 100 more teams registered this spring league than last; and well over 25 new clubs.
As the seeding and scheduling process for spring league begins, it is
very important that all teams have at least one person read and
understand the information that will be sent, perhaps on a daily basis,
to every team and club contact during the next twelve days!

Norcal Spring League is booming – well ahead of last year, and with over ten days left for registering new teams are currently entering at an average of over 15 new teams a day. Historically, as the deadline - March 9th - nears this will increase greatly.
With the rapid growth of new Clubs in all areas except the North Bay, we can now guarantee, in most age/gender groups, schedules that will have 5 to 6 local games – followed by a Norcal wide playoff among the top team(s) from each area. Teams lower in the standings will have games against similar teams from the other areas.
